Introducing Annie Larson
Annie Larson was born in Seoul in 1983, and raised in rural Wisconsin. She studied at the College of Human Ecology at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis where she earned a degree in apparel design. She later designed juniors and men’s apparel for Target Corporation, developing an interest in knitwear. Six months after leaving her position, she started her own line, ALL Knitwear.
ALL Knitwear is an American knitwear label specializing in original sweater designs by Annie Larson. Each piece is designed, knit, and assembled by Annie on a Brother KH-965i knitting machine and shipped to customers all over the world. Formerly based in Minneapolis, MN, the company has now settled into a new location in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY.
Larson’s sweaters are exceptionally unique and have been recognized by many, including: Time Out New York, WAD, Frankie, Urban Outfitters, Nylon (Korea), The Fader, and Daily Candy. In 2010, she was the recipient of a Jerome Fiber Arts Grant through the Textile Center of MN, allowing her to travel to Miami to work with the contemporary sculptor and fiber artist, Jim Drain. Her work has been displayed in Minneapolis, Paris, and New York and will be on view in Philadelphia in 2012.
